Daniel Ramjattan started performing on the guitar at age 10 in Stratford, Ontario, studying with Dave Santandrea and Wilma Van Berkel during his formative years. Since then, his playing has become increasingly distinguished in Canada. He received top prizes at the Domaine Forget International Music Academy, the Ontario Music Festivals Association Provincial Guitar Competition, and a second place prize at the National level of the Canadian Music Competition in 2012.

Daniel has received lessons and masterclasses from internationally-recognized guitarists such as Jorge Caballero, Pavel Steidl, Lorenzo Micheli, Fabio Zanon, Denis Azabagic, and Jerome Ducharme. Daniel takes a particular interest in new music, and has premiered many works by Canadian composers such as Raphael Weinroth-Browne, Juno winner. He has performed all over Canada, from Eastern Quebec to Kelowna, BC.

Daniel holds a bachelor of music degree from the University of Ottawa, where he studied with Louis Trepanier. He is currently pursuing a master's degree with world-renowned pedagogue Bruce Holzman at Florida State University.
