After graduating from Upper Canada College in Toronto, Wyn Davies studied business and economics at the University of Western Ontario, before deciding to pursue a career in the theatre.

The decision proved to be a good one – over the past 40 years Wyn Davies has been a successful actor, writer, director and producer, who has appeared in many film, television and stage projects.

Wyn Davies’ extensive TV work has included starring and recurring roles in ReGenesis, Murdoch Mysteries, 24, Slings & Arrows, The Outer Limits, Black Harbour, Dracula, Tracker, Airwolf, The Judge, To Serve and Protect, among others, though he is probably best known for playing Detective Nick Knight on the cult classic series Forever Knight.

On stage, Wyn Davies has appeared in leading roles in many productions across Canada, the U.S. and Great Britain, including CanStage’s The Elephant Man; the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Tempest, Richard III and Cyrano in Washington DC; King Lear at Lincoln Center Theater, and Do Not Go Gentle at the ArcLight and Clurman Theatre in New York City; Loves Labours Lost at the RSC, Hamlet and Henry VIII at The Chichester Festival, Enemy of the People at The Lyric Hammersmith in London, two seasons as Artistic Associate of Theatr Clwyd (The Welsh National Performing Arts Company), and seventeen seasons at the Shaw and Stratford Festivals in Canada.

Wyn Davies is also a talented musician. He has written a musical entitled ‘Flying Colours’ and was featured on the first Forever Knight CD. In 2000, he composed, arranged performed and produced a CD of his own music, donating the proceeds to the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Washington D.C. and the Atlantic Theatre Festival in Nova Scotia.

He has two wonderful children, Galen and Pyper.

He is married to the lovely Claire Lautier and they spend much of their time in Stratford Ont.
