Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Tyler Gledhill trained at The National Ballet School in Toronto, Het National Balletacademie in Amsterdam, and The Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle. While in school he was presented with the Peter Dwyer Scholarship for the Performing Arts and the Lawrence Hasket Memorial Award.

 

He began his career in The Netherlands with Introdans, touring throughout Europe and Asia. Next he danced with The Göteborg Ballet and Cullberg Ballet in Sweden.

 

Now an independent artist based in Toronto, he has worked with Hit & Run Dance Productions, Opera Atelier, The Chimera Project, ProArte Danza, The Dietrich Group, Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie, Dasein Dance Theatre, Desiraeda Dance Theatre, BoucharDanse, Human Body Expression, Pollux Dance, as well as Stacey Tookey’s Still Motion Dance. For his role in DA Hoskins’ PARIS1994\Gallery in 2010, Tyler was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for outstanding performance in a dance show.
