Neesa Kenemy

Neesa is a dancer, choreographer and educator. Her dance credits include Barber of Seville, (Canadian Opera Company), Rumpleteaser in CATS (Panasonic Theatre, Theatre Aquarius & Drayton Entertainment), The King and I (Stratford Festival of Canada), Cenerentola (COC), Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Drayton), Anne of Green Gables (Stage West), Un Ballo in Maschera (COC). She’s also performed with Three Degrees Dance Theatre, Corpus Dance Projects, and Blue Collar Dance in Calgary, worked with choreographers Nicola Pantin, Hanna Kiel, Xevi Dorca, Sylvie Bouchard, Matjash Mrozewski, William Yong, Renaud Doucet, Tara Blue, Seika Boye and Meaghan O’Shea. Choreography credits include 110 in the Shade (Theatre Sheridan), ScotiaBank's Nuit Blanche, Toronto’s fFIDA and Stratford’s SpringWorks.

 

Neesa was the co-artistic director of Creative Habitat Dance Company for many years with Siona Jackson, touring Ontario high schools with in association with Sick Kid’s Hospital presenting ‘Hearing Voices’ a dance work about first episode psychosis in youth.She is honoured to be performing with Andrew and INNERchamber for a second season.
