To experience classical art together is to be immersed in the flowing river of shared humanity. Odissi dance can trace its roots to archaeological evidence in caves in Udayagiri, Orissi (in India) from the 2nd century BCE and yet the vitality of its expressive form continues to be a perfect vehicle with which to tell stories of love and loss today. Dancer Enakshi Sinha is committed to the study of the ancient forms, as well as exploring new avenues for expression in contemporary works and fusion projects. She joins the Factory Arts Ensemble to tell stories of the great human experience through the timeless art of Odissi Dance.
