Schubert’s penultimate string quartet, Death and the Maiden, rings with the urgency and intensity of an internal struggle from which he never escaped. In the spirit of Schubert, INNERchamber Composer-in-Residence Marek Norman’s new work, Song Cycle, written for vocalist Barbara Barsky and piano quintet, is a work that celebrates life and the human journey - ever moving towards the light.
