Graham Hargrove

percussion

Graham Hargrove is a Stratford based percussionist. He completed degrees at the University of Victoria and the University of Toronto, and studied with Salvador Ferreras, Russell Hartenberger, Beverly Johnston and Trichy Sankaran. He has performed professionally on four continents and performs and records with ensembles as diverse as the Evergreen Gamelan, Red Sky Theatre, Canadian Opera Company, Esprit Orchestra and Continuum.

 

He has recorded two CDs with percussionist Nicholas Coulter (Reinventions, 1997 and Theme and Evolutions, 2005). He has performed in the Toronto productions of The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Wicked, We Will Rock You and The Sound of Music.

 

For the past three seasons he has been a regular in the musical ensembles of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in the productions of Fuente Ovejuna, West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Evita and Kiss Me Kate.
