Marcus Nance
actor and vocalist
American-Canadian bass-baritone Marcus Nance is equally at home in musical theatre, opera, concert, and cabaret. The New York Times described him as “a thrillingly powerful bass-
baritone” while the Globe and Mail commented on his “rich voice and strong stage presence”.

Though the Stratford Festival’s Frankenstein Revived with Marcus in the starring role has been delayed by the global pandemic, he has been heard recently in Voice of a Preacher's Son for the Stratford Festival’s concert series Up Close and Musical, as soloist for Stratford Summer Music with the Stratford Symphony and as Van Helsing in Dracula: A Chamber Musical by Norman and Ouzounian for Innerchamber.
Additional credits include the Shaw Festival, Broadway, Drayton
Entertainment, Tacoma Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre, Tapestry Opera, Toronto’s Jazz Bistro and the world premiere of Rolfe’s Beatrice Chancy for Queen of Puddings Theatre.
